![]() Once again, balancing funds and unit types is a key factor, especially since your enemies pull out their own big guns in the tutorials, giving need for you to strategize carefully. Most involve a stronger/different attack, but some benefit in other ways like building a defensive wall. However, a big part of this game compared to that one is secondary abilities, activated by tapping a unit when it glows blue. Plays similarly to The Battle Cats above. ![]() Line-Defense / Zerg Rush Rocket Lawnchair Sometimes called the "thinking man's Doom" because of the insanely intricate plot. Old school Macintosh users will recognize this instantly! It's 2794, aliens are attacking your spaceship on the way to Tau Ceti, and there's something really weird going on with the ship's artificial intelligences. Pretty much a spiritual sequel to SNES classic Top Gear, the favorite racer of 9 out of 10 Brazilians (they even hired the same composer). Roll over everything.Ī fantastic arcade-style racer with beautiful graphics that mix modern and old-school. Plays old Infocom text adventures such as Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Zork, as well as user-created games. While simple enough to where you'll never need a walkthrough, you may scratch your head a few times until that obvious "Now I get it!" moment occurs. There are hints in the graphics and map structure though that indicate that you'll need to do this whenever mandatory, so keep a sharp eye out. Like the original Fairune, expect to move about "hidden" walls and obstacles to get to secrets and utilize found items in puzzles. ![]() While the combat remains simple run-and-bump much like Ys 1, the puzzles and exploration have been notably improved and expanded upon since the flash game. Make some crazy money driving people around to the sound of Bad Religion and The Offspring.Īction-RPG remake of Skipmore's free Flash Game from years ago, inspired by Falcom's early Dragon Slayer titles and Ys 1. Game length is short at 2-3 hours.Ī Dreamcast classic in your pocket. One of the best original platformers on the iPhone, with slick presentation and fresh, tilt-controlled aerial platforming. ![]() Pac-Man again.Survive a few rounds of gameplay, and the player will be treated to humorous intermissions showing the growing romantic relationship between Pac-Man and Ms. The Energizer power only lasts for a limited amount of time, as the ghost's eyes float back to their center box, and regenerate to chase after Ms. Pac-Man can eat them for bonus points (ranging from 200, 400, 8, progressively). During this time, the ghosts turn blue, and Ms. ![]() Pac-Man can turn the tables on her pursuers by eating one of the four Energizers located within the maze. One touch from any of these ghosts means a loss of life for Ms. Pac-Man attempts to clear four various and challenging mazes filled with dots and ever-moving bouncing fruit while avoiding Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Sue, each with their own personalities and tactics. This sequel continued on the "eat the dots/avoid the ghosts" gameplay of the original game, but added new features to keep the title fresh.Like her boyfriend, Ms. In 1982, Midway and Namco created a sequel to the incredibly popular Pac-Man in the form of his girlfriend, Ms. Graphics 10 Sound 8 Addictive 10 Depth 10 Story 5 Difficulty 5 This is a game that I would suggest to anybody interested in puzzles or fast-paced game play and anybody who needed something to entertain him/her that is not a game that requires endless amounts of attention. Overall: 8 Great graphics, clear sound, extremely addictive, decent story (although fairly useless in my eyes), tons to do, and easy to learn without being too easy to master. I don't expect Spore graphics to rip and shred at my computer's graphics card anyhow. Considering the age and the glitches in some of the other ROMs? This one is absolutely amazing, as far as Graphics go. Graphics: 10 (Awesome) Again: ROM ripped from insanely old game. It gets annoying after awhile from the sheer repetitiveness but hey, it's not like it is 64 Bit Full-Blown, Ozzy Osbourne written and sung music. Sound: 10 (Extremely Clear) For a ROM based on such an old game? The sound is extremely clear. At 18, I have it on my PC in ROM form and play it like crazy. At 16, I owned it and wore out the Cartridge on a Sega Genesis. At 12, I played it every chance that I go to at the Laundry Mat down the road. Pac-Man becomes addicted to the game it's just that much of an addictive game. Addictiveness: 10 (Amazingly Addictive!) Most every body who plays Ms. ![]() which is rendered completely useless if you are playing Strange mode. The story is there just for the change in acts. and the story has very little to actually do with the game itself, honestly. Pac-Man does not have an extensive story. With the various difficulty settings (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Crazy), Maze Options (Arcade, Small, Big, and Strange), as well as the Pac Booster and Player options, this game boasts many ways to play. Pac-Man holds many different settings and functions that allow you to extend your game and change it up quite a bit. Pac-Man is definitely a game that demands patience and time. At 18, after I haven't played it for six years? It's nearly impossible for me to even make it halfway through, because I am out of practice with it. As a 12 year old, I played it enough to beat it. This was a game that simply took practice. Difficulty: 5 (Average) Not too difficult, not too easy. (She was big against video games because of my father.) It was a game that I loved then, and still love to this day - several years later. It was probably the only game that I could get my mother to play at all. I played it with my mother rather frequently. Pac-Man is a game that I played on my Sega as a young child. Pac-Man ~ Wonderful Game My personal spiel about Ms. |
